Just me being silly in the car on my way to visit a friend in the Quad Cities who was home from Chicago for the holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! Hope you had a wonderful day and were able to spend it with family and friends. I'm thinking about all of my loved ones, both near and far this holiday. Spent some time at the in-laws today, and was amazed to learn that DH is an extremely good fussball player. I mean, like, freakishly good.
Also, I'm not into the whole Black Friday get-up-at-4-a.m.-so-I-can-get-a-$5-television-I-don't-need shopping thing, but if you're looking for something cool to buy, check out TOMS Shoes. They send a pair of shoes to a kid who really needs them for every pair that you buy. Pretty cool organization. Check them out.

We also drank some homemade dandelion wine out of fun martini glasses that lit up, and Dad made a TurDuckHen this year. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Why I hate tail-gaters, Part 1. So I went down to do laundry this morning (which is in the basement), and I have to go through the storm cellar door. Some awesome person that my landlady let park in her yard decided to dump their grill contents basically right on my porch in front of my door. Awesome.

I don't know how long this has been on the market. I have neither kids nor crayons, but I think I need this. It's a crayon maker from Crayola. You can melt your old crayons and make new swirly ones!!

And I was reminded this morning how beautiful my Bare Escentuals Chameleon eyeshadow is. The photo just doesn't quite capture its radiance.

I'd say that about sums up the week so far. It'd be a much more effective photo if you could hear my head hitting the table.

I know, I know, it looks like I have a giant arm, but it's really hard to take a picture of your left arm with your right one. If you don't believe me, try it some time. I was way too nervous to even think about remembering my camera even though I really wanted a shot of it, but today a monumental thing happened: I had to give my first injections to a living person. I gave two intramuscular and one subcutaneous shot. As I condition of doing this practice, I had to submit to the same, and the only proof I have is the picture of the band-aids on my arms. It's a very strange thing to puncture someone's skin with a sharp object, but I did it without managing to faint. Ah-ha!!
