I got to go see Baby Amery and had lunch with her mama today.


She had fun playing with my shoes and trying to walk around in them.

I also got some barefoot running shoes today, and she tried those on for me too. I can't believe how big she's getting!

Exciting stuff: we bought a grill today. Here's DH putting it together and the finished product with the handle on the wrong side. Yep, we had to reassemble it.

I went and got my hair cut (and darkened a bit) today. I had accidentally let it get really long, purely from being too busy and not making time to go get it cut. She cut off 5 inches. Look at these little teeny baby braids. (compare to April 18). I'm having a little bit of regret, but I know it'll grow back, probably sooner than I realize.

I saw this random little origami crane up by our lecturer's computer this afternoon. I don't know what cranes symbolize, but today was our last day of lecture for the year, so I'm going to hope it means something good.

My iPod Touch finally arrived from China today. I opted to get my named engraved on the back (for free), so it took a little longer to get here than just picking one up at Best Buy would. It's super awesome, and I wish I had gotten it a lot sooner.

I went to a Tastefully Simple party tonight with some girlfriends from school. My belly is now full, and I've got goodies to eat for the summer! Thanks, K!

We took our visiting friend to breakfast at the mildy famous Hamburg Inn this morning. Someday I will try a pie shake, just can't ever seem to muster up the oomph to try one for breakfast.
