Today I casted off my first project!! It was a little weird just having that one stitch on the needle, but it worked. It was very exciting, and now I have a giant knitted square with holes and knots in it. :) Next up: a scarf made of beautiful bamboo yarn.

My dear friend drove all the way from Chicago to see us. He brought his laptop and showed us all of his photos from his recent two-week trip to Europe. We had a fun evening!

So I've given up on trying to post a photo a day, but I'm going to try to keep posting when I can. I decided to give "scrapbooking" a try for our wedding album. I use that term very loosely because of the lack of creativity that went into it. It's mostly just a photo album with some palm tree and tropical flower stickers. :) This is the first page in progress.

Today we headed back to school, so we had lunch with some friends to say bye-bye. Here is my favorite little baby Amery having fun at Red Robin.
