Tonight after work, DH and I went to our favorite Thai restaurant, and then we stopped at Blockbuster to pick up a movie I need to watch for school. We love rustling through their 4/$20 section and picking up some new flicks. It's the same price as renting them there and you get to keep 'em. Here's what we added to our stash.

P.S. Vampire Wars is great if you love B-class sci-fi/horror flicks!

March 25

Today, President Obama came and spoke at the University of Iowa. He was at the Field House, which is right next door to where my college is. I think it's a very exciting time in our country, and it was neat that he came to speak about the health insurance reform. All I had was my cell phone, but I'm, as usual, pleasantly surprised by how good the photos turned out. Sorry they're not of the best quality. The speech was broadcast live in one of our auditoriums next door.

Today hubby got a new road bike. I don't know anything about them, other than I think it looks cool. Now he can go even faster than before, which is still faster than I like. :)

Well, I'm not sure if I'm getting dumber or the tests are getting harder, but that wasn't a fun one. Anyway, this bumper sticker made me smile.

It's the last day of my spring break. I thought I should spend a little time today studying for our med chem exam on Tuesday. Sigh. In case anyone was wondering, morphine has a phenanthrene skeleton, was isolate by Friedrich W. Surturner, has negative optical rotation and 5 asymmetric carbons. Goodbye, spring break.

Today one of my girlfriend's and her twin brother had a little birthday celebration. Here's her and hubby and some friends playing pool tonight. I love the difference in everyone's stances. Happy birthday!!
